Improving your fitness and health is more achievable with the large range of exercise classes available at Fusion Wellbeing in Closeburn, Samford Valley. From yoga to Zumba, our classes vary from low to high intensity and impact and cater to all levels of fitness, and also include pre and postnatal classes. Thanks to our small class sizes, we are able to give you more attention and personalised instruction, with personal modifications when required. This can enhance your success rate and reduce your risk of injury.

Our Yoga Classes

General Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga

Yoga is designed to improve health and wellness physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, yoga at Fusion Wellbeing is a Vinyasa style blending balance, strength, flexibility and mobility in a fitness format. It overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness. 


Our General Yoga class style reduces the risk of injury and augments recovery for ailments including stress, lower back pain and tension. Great for everyone, this class is full of alignment cues flowing through the sequence using your breath. It starts with a gentle warm up, flows into standing postures set to strengthen and warm up the body before some beautiful deep stretches and twists.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a beautiful, nourishing and supportive practice using bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps to provide complete support for the entire body. 


This practice promotes deep rest both for the mind and body, deeply supporting the brain and the body’s tissues, allowing them to let go and relax. It can help alleviate stress, anxiety, fatigue, exhaustion and provides support to the vagus nerve. 


These restorative poses only produce very mild sensation and are held for extended periods of time to facilitate deep rest and restoration of the body and mind.

Yin Yoga

This style of yoga is a deep stretch class that has a strong focus on breath as we soften down into each pose and take a longer hold uniting the body, breath and mind. This class is set to stretch deep tissue muscle, connective tissue and fascia, and also clear and focus the mind.


These poses may produce strong stretch sensations where focusing on the breath and calming the mind will help to let the tissues lengthen into the stretch.

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga classes are created for mums-to-be to help maintain their fitness and flexibility throughout their pregnancy, alleviate those common aches and pains and to help build a strong connection with both their changing bodies and their baby in preparation for birth.


Our prenatal yoga classes cater for all fitness levels, whether you have been exercising before your pregnancy or want to start now to best take care of yourself and your baby. 


This class is suitable to attend after the first trimester, or from the beginning of your pregnancy if you already have a regular yoga practice and you feel up to it. It is safe to practice right up to full term if you have no contraindications. No previous yoga experience is necessary.

This class offers a caring environment where you can enjoy time with your baby and connect with other new mums.

Fertility Yoga

This is a nurturing woman-centred class to support those on a fertility journey, both natural and assisted. It is designed to boost women's health and wellbeing, by learning to honour her menstrual cycle and engage tools to help prepare for conception.


These classes can help educate and empower women to understand how their cycle health may impact fertility and give them tools to improve their health and wellbeing. They also support those with pelvic pain disorders such as endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome and a history of pelvic trauma.


This yoga practice also assists with reducing anxiety and stress that is a very common issue for women when they are trying to conceive and undergoing fertility treatments.

Women's Womb Yoga

This is a nurturing woman-centred class to support those wanting a yoga practice that promotes their feminine health and wellbeing by learning to honour their menstrual cycle, and modifying the practice and poses based on where they're at in their cycle.


These classes can help educate and empower women to understand how their cycle health is a reflection of general health and what effects a disordered cycle can have. They also support those with pelvic pain disorders such as endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome and a history of pelvic trauma.

Kids Yoga

This class is for primary school aged children.


Kids Yoga at Fusion Wellbeing uses mindful movement, games, share circles, breathwork and visualization, in an  active, safe, and inclusive environment, for kids to explore their natural flexibility, develop more strength, and counter the stress of their daily lives.


Kids yoga helps improve children's sense of wellbeing, increases feelings of calm and relaxation, and boosts self confidence and love. These classes also encourage inclusiveness, compassion and support among peers.


Classes are run by the term in line with school term dates. Enrollments are for the full term, or if joining after the start of the term, for the remainder of the term.

Private & Custom Classes

If you prefer to work privately or one on one with an instructor, or if the class times don’t suit your schedule, you can book in for a private class at a time that suits you.


We also offer Custom Classes where you can book your own time and class type, for one person up to the usual maximum participants for the desired class. This suits people wanting to train exclusively with friends, work colleagues or in a small, private setting. 


Please note, these classes have their own pricing structure and bookings are subject to availability of the studio and instructor.

Our Pilates Classes

General Mat Pilates

Pilates emphasises your body’s core: the abdominals, lower back, inner and outer thighs, gluteals and more. It develops strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, coordination, balance, good posture and helps prevent injury in other training and day to day life. 


Our general mat class is appropriate for varying levels of conditioning, and focuses on correct form, activation and execution, and works your whole body.


We incorporate the use of Swiss balls, Pilates balls, and resistance bands to increase the exercise repertoir to keep classes interesting and progressive for you and your fitness and strength needs.

Prenatal Pilates

This Pilates class is designed to keep your body strong during pregnancy and prepare for better recovery post-birth. This class will enable you to maintain strength in your core, back and glutes which will assist in reducing weakening of the pelvic floor, the extent of abdominal separation, lower back pressure and pain, hip and pelvic issues and other common musculoskeletal problems experienced during pregnancy. 

 

Our prenatal Pilates classes cater for all fitness levels, whether you have been exercising before your pregnancy or want to start now to best take care of yourself and your baby.

This Pilates class is designed to help women regain their stability, strength and alignment following pregnancy and birth. We focus on re-strengthening pelvic floor muscles, repairing abdominal separation and alleviating pain and postural issues that may be occurring.


We create a supportive and empowering environment for you to safely return to exercise while connecting with other mums and share some bonding time with your baby. 


This class is suitable to attend after your 6 week follow up and the go-ahead from your GP or obstetrician. No previous experience is needed.

Our Fitness Classes

Zumba®

The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Fast and slow rhythms and resistance come together in an interval training routine to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. 


We also incorporate Zumba Toning® routines in our classes. These routines blend body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into calorie-burning and strength-training. You’ll use weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm, build strength and tone all the target zones.

This is an ideal class for those who want a great cardio workout. Boxing improves endurance and fitness with varying drills and resistance exercises. It can also be adapted for those who cannot put high impact on lower body joints such as hips, knees and ankles due to previous injury.

Invigorate & Vitalize

This is a cardio and strength class designed to increase your fitness and to tone and strengthen your entire body, giving you a great, effective, whole body work out that is energetic and dynamic. With a variety of exercises and equipment, it caters for beginners through to advanced fitness and strength levels, and keeps your training interesting and your mind engaged. 


Classes may include high intensity interval training (HIIT), jump rope, circuit training and more, however all exercises can be modified to suit the individual to ensure they are appropriate for your fitness level and to reduce your risk of injury. We ensure you are performing correct technique and exercising safely, allowing you to gain maximum benefits and increase your fitness and strength.

This class greatly assists with re-strengthening pelvic floor muscles, repairing abdominal separation and alleviating back pain and postural issues following your much deserved break immediately following birth.

Swiss Ball Fit

This class is a strength and stability class with exercises using the Swiss ball. It improves stability for the whole body with a strong focus on strengthening abdominals and glutes to gain better pelvic stability and reduced lower back pain. This class also helps to improve posture, as well as stability and strength in the upper back, shoulders, arms and legs.

This class involves the use of foam rollers and massage balls for self-myofascial release and relief of muscle tension. It increases flexibility and mobility, assists in the recovery of muscles following physical activity, helps to minimise post-exercise muscle soreness and reduces tension and tightness in muscles and connective tissue.

Sublime Stretch

This class is designed to safely enhance flexibility and mobility. No matter where your flexibility levels are at, each stretch is modified to suit each individual and what you need to improve and develop in this area. Appropriate for everyone, whether you are starting out and want to increase flexibility or if you are super flexible, you will be inspired and motivated to go beyond your perceived capabilities and limitations through guidance and support from your dedicated instructor.

We kindly request that you book classes ahead of time to secure your place in the class as they are limited. For early morning classes, please book by the night before. Doors open at least 15 minutes prior to class start time. Classes may be booked online up until 1 hour before the scheduled class time. Consultations may be booked up until 2 hours before desired appointment time, subject to availability.
 
Our pricing packages are designed to suit every need or budget. Remember to come in 10 minutes early for your first class so you can meet your instructor and fill out a registration form. If the front desk is unattended, the phone will be diverted to Beck’s mobile or you will be able to leave a message and one of our staff will get back to you as soon as possible.
